One of the most popular MAC Lipliners was Stone, so when they made a matte lipstick collection recently that was permanent and included this shade in it, everyone went wild. MAC Stone Lipstickis a pretty polarizing shade because you either love it or you hate it. My dad would jokingly refer to this shade as 'corpse lipstick' or 'zombie lipstick,' because it has a greyed-out tone to it. I personally love this shade because I think it's definitely edgy and trendy, but also flattering because it's actually pigmented and puts down color. It's your 90's brown lipstick with an extra fierce punch to it.

MAC Stone Lipstickis a matte, which means it has no shimmer or shine to it. I think this lipstick has a tiny bit of a satin finish to it, so it's not completely flat and matte, but I still love it. To me, this shade is the epitome of grunge chic. It is a brown-grey shade. Screen munch on mac. It looks more brown in some lighting and more grey in others. It's extremely pigmented and you'll easily get opaque lips in just a couple of swipes.
You'll be able to see more about the color changing aspect of this shade in my swatches. Depending on the lighting and angle, it can look like a medium brown shade or a greyed-out mauve. It really does look slightly different on everyone and you can also wear it lighter or heavier on the lips for a different effect.
So above is a great example of Stonelooking different. These two pictures were taken right after each other, but one was taken in natural lighting (top) and one was taken with a camera flash (bottom). I think this is what helps keep the shade flattering.
Stoneis one of those lip colors that really stands out by itself, so I prefer to keep my makeup light elsewhere. There are no rules, so of course you could wear dark eye makeup with it if you wanted. I just personally like to keep my makeup subdued when I am wearing this shade, especially for daytime wear. I applied some matte brown eyeshadow to my eyelids, curled my lashes and applied mascara, cleaned up my skin with foundation, and contoured my cheekbones.
Mac Lipstick Stone Color
Remote desktop connection mac dmg. The fairer your skin, the darker this shade will look on you. I've seen Stoneon medium and dark skin tones before and it will end up being more of a nude shade on you. It's absolutely gorgeous. It can be difficult to find lipstick shades that work as neutral or nude lip colors for dark skin tones, but Stone does the job well.
