Download and InstallSide-by-side installation: You can't have Office 2016 for Mac and Office 2019 for Mac installed on the same computer. Also, you can't have Office for Mac (from an Office 365 or Microsoft 365 plan) along with either Office 2016 for Mac or Office 2019 for Mac (both of which are one-time purchase versions) installed on the same computer.  Sign in at https://outlook.office365.com with your SF State credentials
 Click on the Gear icon, located near the top-right corner of the window, and select Office 365 settings
 In the Software section, click on Install and Manage Software to open the installation page of Office 2016 for Mac
 On the installation page, click on the Install button to begin the download
 When the download is complete, open the package (Microsoft_Office_2016_Installer.pkg) to Run the installer
 Follow the prompts to complete the installation. When the installation is complete, Word will open to finalize setup. Click on Get Started.
 Click on the Sign In button, then enter your SF State e-mail account and password to activate Office 2016 for Mac
 Click on Start Using Word and complete the installation process
I've got an Office 365 user with Outlook 2016 Macintosh v. 15.2.3/Mac OS 10.11.5. Deactivate a DeviceOffice 2016 can be installed on up to 5 devices. If you have reached the maximum number of installs, you can deactivate Office 2016 from a specific device, and install it onto another. To deactivate a device:
 Sign in at https://outlook.office365.com
 Click on the Gear icon, located near the top-right corner of the window, and select Office 365 settings
 In the Software section, click on Install and Manage Software to open the installation page of Office 2016 for Mac
 On the installation page, there will be a list of devices where Office 2016 has been installed. Click on Deactivate that corresponds to the device that should be removed.
Save DocumentsBy default, Office 2016 for Mac documents will be saved in OneDrive, an online cloud storage system. To save documents onto your device:
 Select Save from the file menu
 Click on the the Online Locations to the left of the File Format option.
 This will change the option to save On My Mac:
 Type in a name for the file and click Save
